September 29, 2004 Regarding: Copart Facility: Hammond, IN To: All Insurance Companies Examinations conducted at the above site have consistently resulted in wasting 30-45 minutes of our time on each visit due primarily to vehicle's not being readily available for inspection. Even when calling in advance by as much as 24 hours with all required information, we still experience excessively long delays for the actual transfer of the vehicle to the front yard. Although we have attempted to resolve this issue on numerous occasions by speaking with Copart management personnel, we have been unsuccessful. Consequently, effective January 01, 2005, each vehicle examined at the Hammond location will be subject to a $35.00 surcharge to compensate for our lost time. Please be aware the surcharge applies only to the Hammond facility.
